JS 93 Pts - According to James Suckling
- "Lots of dark berry, licorice, mint and terra cotta aromas. Full body with fine tannins and a balsamic and dried berry character in the aftertaste. Real balance and drinkability to this. Drink or hold. According to Wine Spectator - Supple and well-spiced, with a firm core of dark plum and currant flavors that feature notes of tobacco leaf. Savory herbs on the tannic, juicy finish. Drink now." According to Wine Enthusiast - "Subtle aromas of marzipan and cola yield to overriding prune and raisin scents on this extremely ripe, almost overripe blend. Soft and spongy on the palate, with berry and prune flavors, this shows smoke and toast notes on a low-pulse finish. Drink now." According to Wine Advocate - "There’s ripe black fruit, some minty notes and a medium-bodied palate with limited acidity and round, lush tannins. It is highly drinkable and pleasant, but more for those that favor warmer vintages and riper wines. Having said that, the wine develops nicely in the glass, where you get balsamic notes of incense and blue flowers, so I’d recommend opening and decanting the bottle in advance. Drink now-2017. (Abbreviated)." According to Wine Spectator - "Supple and well-spiced, with a firm core of dark plum and currant flavors that feature notes of tobacco leaf. Savory herbs on the tannic, juicy finish." Tasting Notes - "Expressive and aromatic with notes of blackberry, strawberry and blueberry, mixed with hints of cinnamon, clove, pepper, rosemary and bay leaf. Elegant, with flavors of plum and strawberry enveloped in a soft and velvety texture. This wine has fresh acidity and round, well integrated tannins that provide a lingering finish." 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carmenere, 25% Syrah, 15% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.14.5% ABV.
