Carnaval Sparkling Wines are produced in the southeast of Brazil, in the region of Bento Gonçalves, the Brazilian capital of grapes and wine. It's produced in Vinicola Aurora, Brazil largest and most awarded winery. The most recognized name in Brazilian wine.
The grapes for this wine (and most Brazilian wines) were grown in the southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul, which is still a good bit north of the Chilean valleys and the Argentine Mendoza region. The area was the site of lots of German and Italian immigration during the 19th century which had a major impact on the type of wine produced.
Small, fairly fast bead of bubbles. Pale pink in color. Aromatic with cherry and white peach on both the nose and palate. Medium sweet and medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a long, refreshing finish.
