This single vineyard Chassagne-Montrachet is complex, layered with mineral notes from the limestone-rich soil. Floral aromas of honeysuckle and acacia are accented by nutty hints of hazelnut. Ripe pear flavors linger on the palate. Fermented on fine lees in French oak barrels, the wine was subsequently aged in new and used French oak barrels for 13 months. Roux Les Macherelles will reward extensive cellaring upwards of 10 years.
