| Broc Cellars Grenache Blend/Picpoul/Couniose Blanc blend, Wine Starr, California|
Broc Cellars Cassia Grenache has shades of peppercorn spice while black, green, pink, and most prominently white, dominate the bouquet and palate of this exuberant, medium-bodied wine. This is a well-balanced wine with rustic, Cotes-du-Rhone-like garrigue and dust. It possesses a brilliant medium-garnet color. Flavors of bright red berry fruit, including cherry, strawberry and raspberry, mingle with the peppery spice, and briny dust to create a focused, young, fun wine.
Grenache wines have distinct flavors and have characteristics of blackberry, cherry, currant and raisin. The aromas in Grenache are very powerful, including menthol, licorice and black pepper. These wines are usually blended with another variety, such as a Syrah. Grenache is the most planted red grape in Spain.
