Every case includes two bottles of the following wines:
La Loggia Barbera D�Alba DOC from Piedmont:
This wine is a perfect accompaniment to red meats, roasts, hearty stews, and mushroom dishes. It has nice aromas of cherry and berries, with flavors of berry, spice and earth on the palate. It has a lively acidity and refined tannins.
Le Grotte Reggiano Lambrusco DOC from Emilia Romagna
This is a very nice sparkling wine that is sweet, but not too sweet. It is bright and fruity, with flavors of tangy plums and grape. Enjoy this wine with fruits, desserts, or even pork and beef. Of course, you can always just pop a bottle open for parties, or to relax.
Taverna Dei Santi Montepulciano D�Abruzzo DOC from Abruzzo
Montepulciano D�Abruzzo is one of Italy�s well guarded secrets. These wines are known for their amazing aromatics and firm structure, making them great for aging. This wine has a distinct, pungent aroma, and nice flavors of berries, spice, vanilla, and plums.
Villa Carlotti Prosecco from the Veneto
Prosecco is another one of Italy�s well-guarded secrets. Sure, you can spend $100 a bottle on champagne, but with $100, you can buy a whole case of Prosecco! This one is light, with nice bubbles, and mellow aromas of almond, pear and yeast. On the palate, it tastes of green apple, asian pear, and spice. Try this wine with salads and seafood.
Casalinga Pinot Grigio IGT from the Veneto:
This Pinot Grigio is typical of many from the Veneto. It has nice floral aromas, as well as a subtle honey nuance. On the palate, the wine has a nice texture, complemented with a lively acidity. Try this wine with seafood dishes, as well as pasta with light sauces.
Aquila D�Oro Chianti DOCG from Tuscany:
This is a traditional Chianti made from the Sangiovese grape. Chianti is absolutely perfect for those meals containing tomatoes. This wine will also work with veal, beef and pork. This wine is a classic Chianti: Medium-bodied, with flavors of prune, cherry, and spice. Medium bodied with a slightly tannic finish.
