About Estate:
Since 1980, Amador Foothill Winery has produced wines with great balance, finesse, and value. How? By learning to read what is going on in each specific vineyard as the fruit matures.There is no substitution for walking the vineyards, observing the conditions and, most importantly, tasting the ripening grapes to determine when they are literally bursting with flavor.

Food Pairing:
Wonderful by itself as an aperitif, this wine also goes well with appetizers such as smoked salmon, grilled marinated prawns, sushi, or crostini with a selection of toppings.

About Varietal:
Sangiovese is the classic tuscan wine varietal. Both Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino are made from Sangiovese. These wines are spicy, acidic, and powerful--with wonderful berry flavors. However, in the form of a rose, Sangiovese produces wines that are dry, spicy, with hints of strawberry and cranberry.
