Product Notes:
Lovely layers of attractive roasted mocha, cocoa, black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, and an earthy core with a hint of vanilla. Juicy, mouth-filling, sweet, and savory notes with balanced acidity and lovely, silky tannins. Great length. Fine wine, with personality.

All of the fruit for this incredible wine comes from a special, 12-hectare vineyard that was planted over 60 years ago by the brother's grandfather. Pago de Santa Cruz is made using only "Tinta del Pais" (Tempranillo) and is aged in American oak barrels for 16 months before bottling.

Food Pairing:
Tempranillo goes well with many Spanish dishes. Tempranillo goes especially well with lamb, chorizo, grilled seafood, roasted peppers, sheep's milk cheeses, and all varieties of ham including serrano ham and prosciutto.

About Varietal:
Wines made from Tempranillo tend to have a nice fruity sweetness. They tend to have light tannins, and light acidity.
