Our Gewurztraminer has become one of the signature wines of Thomas Fogarty Winery. It is always delightfully dry on the palate, but full of tropical fruit, white flowers and spice (particularly ginger). These vintage produced some beautifully exotic yet elegant Gew�rztraminer, with great balance of fruit, spice and freshness. From the Winemaker

About Estate:
Internationally recognized heart surgeon, Stanford professor and inventor Dr. Thomas Fogarty founded the winery in 1981. Winemaker Michael Martella and Dr. Fogarty pioneered cool climate grape growing in the northern section of the Santa Cruz Mountains when,in 1978, Dr. Fogarty was the first to plant on the region�s Skyline Ridge, some 2,000 feet above sea level.

"Our exquisite Santa Cruz Mountains Winery includes twenty-five acres of premier grape varietals planted on a 325-acre estate, focusing on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We also produce an excellent dry style Gewurztraminer with Monterey county grapes and cabernet sauvignon with grapes from both Napa Valley and the Santa Cruz Mountains. It is Dr. Fogarty's commitment to produce the highest quality wines, which maximizes the benefits of the unique soil and climate in this mountain region, through small quantities that can be truly handcrafted."
