| 2008 Twomey Santa Barbara Pinot Noir Santa Barbara , USA |
Product Notes: 2008 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir was sourced from Bien Nacido Vineyard. This is a sustainably farmed vineyard, which may explain, at least partly, why this wine is so richly textured and so complex and delicious! Deep red fruits abound on the nose and palate with a finish that is a touch sappy and very very silky. The wine was aged for 12 months sur lies in 100% French Burgundy barrels, 40% new. According to Wine Enthusiast: "A good, polished Pinot for drinking now. It's brisk in acidity and has a hint of green mint, but the raspberry, cherry and cedar flavors are delicious." (09/10) According to Wine Spectator: "Focused on a beam of earthy wild berry and black cherry, this is full-bodied, fit and spicy, ending with rose petal scents and a delicate finish. Drink now through 2016." (08/10)
