| Grey Goose French Vodka 750ml|
The vodka afficionados who swear by Grey Goose give the label reason to profess itself the "World's Best Tasting Vodka." If you are looking for a good gift, this trusted and well-known label will easily impress anyone. This is purity at its best. There is a reason that this premium vodka is the most requested in the United States. It simply rocks. Vodka is one of those great inventions that can be used with any type of drink. You can drink it in milk or fruit drinks, straight up, or with rocks. If you are going to mix vodka with anything else, do yourself a favor and order the other stuff. Grey Goose gets its ultra crisp taste from it distillation process.
Grey Goose Vodka is distilled and bottled in small batches.
Winner of the prestigious World Spirits Championship.
Grey Goose Vodka received 96 out of 100 points from the Beverage Testing Institute, and was awarded the only Platinum Medal.
Its five-step distillation begins in a copper pot still with a fine selection of the very best grains. Blended with water naturally purified through champagne limestone from the GentT Springs of Cognac, France, Grey Goose is created under the watchful eye of a master distiller.
Vodka is one of the world's most popular distilled beverages. It is a liquid containing water, ethanol purified by distillation from a fermented substance such as grain or molasses, and an insignificant amount of other substances: impurities and possibly flavorings. Except for various types of flavorings, vodka is a colorless liquid.
Vodka usually has an alcohol content of 35% to 50% by volume. The classic Russian and Polish vodka is 40% (USA 80 proof). This can be attributed to the Russian standards for vodka production introduced in 1894 by Alexander III from research undertaken by the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev. According to the Vodka Museum in Moscow, Mendeleev found the perfect percentage to be 38. However, since spirits in his time were taxed on their strength, the percentage was rounded up to 40 to simplify the tax computation. At strengths less than this, vodka drunk neat (not mixed with other liquids) can taste "watery": above this strength, the taste of vodka can have more "burn". Some governments set a minimum alcohol content for a spirit to be called "vodka". For example, the European Union sets a minimum of 37.5% alcohol by volume.
Although vodka is traditionally drunk neat in Eastern European and Scandinavian countries of the "vodka belt", its popularity elsewhere owes much to its usefulness in cocktails and other mixed drinks, such as the Bloody Mary, the Screwdriver, the vodka tonic, and the vodka martini.
