| Springbank Single Malt Scotch (15 Years)|
Dark, russet color; Nose: the rich sweet smell of the sherry casks which are used to mature this old style Springbank. A truly classic Springbank that is perhaps best enjoyed after-dinner or with your favorite cigar.
Sweet nose on this dram only begins to suggest the full range of flavors which emerge on the palate; dark chocolate, figs, marzipan, brazil nuts and vanilla all mingle to DRAMatic effect! Warming and elegant on the finish.
Springbank Distillery is one of the last surviving producers of Campbeltown Single Malts. The distillery, located on the southern Kintyre peninsula, produces three distinct types of single malt Scotch whisky (the only two other distilleries in Scotland to produce more than one are Loch Lomond Distillery and Tobermory).
Single malt Scotch: a delight usually refrained from until after dinner. Most popular pairing: the cigar
Single malt whisky is a whisky which is distilled at a single distillery, and which is made completely from a single type of malted grain, traditionally barley, (although there are also single malt rye whiskies). Most single malt whiskies are distilled using a pot still. Single malts are produced all over the world, but the best known single malts come from Scotland, Ireland and Japan.
